It was once an idea that I had stumbled upon while browsing Pinterest. Today, it became a tasty reality. With a little bit of trial and error, Jerik and I have mastered the art of the bacon pancake. (Sidenote: Hooray for finally getting to see Jerik after a month of being apart!!!)

Okay, but really though. I was kind of skeptical that cooking the bacon pancakes in real life would be as straightforward as Pinterest made it seem. Let's face it -- Pinterest always makes things look way easier than they really are. But on the real, these were hella simple to make.

You cook the bacon. Prepare your pancake batter. Pour the batter into a separate frying pan. (Not the pan you cooked the bacon in.) Put a strip of bacon in the middle of the batter. (Or add as much bacon as you'd like. Whatever floats your boat.) Pour a layer of batter over the bacon. Flip pancake. Wait for it to cook all the way through. Repeat until you have the desired number of flapjacks that you wish to consume. Try it. I'm sure Jake the Dog would be proud.

P.S. I'm just going to leave this video right here.
